About us

About the Library

Redlands College provides information resources for the school community through Junior and Middle and Senior Libraries which have excellent physical spaces for research, study and leisure reading and a large collection of quality resources.

Junior and Middle students have weekly or fortnightly lessons with qualified teacher librarians, and Senior students are assisted with research as needed. Curriculum-based resources, literature and recreational materials are available in a variety of formats to support the needs of the College. Students have access to a large collection of print resources and an extensive fiction collection,  from picture books for the Juniors to eBooks and young adult fiction for Middle and Senior students.

A wide range of electronic resources is also available, including encyclopaedias, newspapers, reference materials and a comprehensive selection of online, full-text databases.

The College Library also provides a Parent Collection, which is located near the Library office on the ground floor.

The online catalogue (OPAC) can be accessed at school or remotely,  through the Redlands College Library Portal, and provides a list of print and electronic resources, and also direct access to authoritative websites, podcasts  and databases, such as the Australian Museum and the National Library of Australia.
